HCFA Increases Medicare Reimbursement Rates For CardioDynamics BioZ(R) ICG Technology Reimbursement Decision Positively Affects an Estimated 60 Million Cardiovascular Patients SAN DIEGO, Nov. 2 CardioDynamics International Corporation, manufacturer of BioZ® noninvasive digital cardiac function monitoring systems, announced today that Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA) has established a national payment of $41, an approximate 37% increase in national average reimbursement for the Company's BioZ Impedance Cardiography (ICG) technology, effective January 1, 2001. The effort to standardize and increase national reimbursement for ICG was recommended by the American College of Cardiology. In late 1999, Medicare coverage became effective and reimbursement rates were set by local Medicare carriers.
