To: im a survivor who wrote (10470 ) 10/31/2000 8:14:09 PM From: Sully- Read Replies (3) | Respond to of 65232 Keith, please try to read this with an open mind................... >>"C'mon now Tim, when I have ever wanted anybody to not post or keep anything to themselves unless they were referring to or about me??? "<< .... emphasis mine.... Apparently you do want a double standard then. Bottom line Keith, you have made it clear that on certain issues, you want others to refrain from posting their thoughts while you continue to insist you are free to post whatever you want, whenever you want. What makes you so special? Why do you believe that others should be restricted in posting their own thoughts while you repeatedly insist there should be no restrictions on you? Keep in mind that you too are free to ignore those posts that you don't agree with, rather than insist that they shut up. Why do you want to silence folks who are trying to help &/or disagree with you? Why shouldn't you also be expected to keep your thoughts to yourself then? You want to be free to, shall we say, post stress filled posts, ect., but you want folks to keep their thoughts/reactions to themselves. Keep in mind, you tend to paint a scary, gloomy, stress filled picture quite often. You tend to prod & cajole others to respond to you too. Your stress filled posts are about stocks that many others here are also invested in. You may tend to get an occasional emotional reply under those circumstances, no? That certainly sounds like you want a double standard Keith. Please enlighten me on how it is not one, because it appears you have some seriously flawed thinking here. >>"It seems others can say something, but if I say the same thing or in the same manner, I am chastised."<< I believe it is the frequency & pitch of your stress filled posts that causes folks to reply. Others may have stress filled posts as well..... some more than others...... One difference I see is that you have a rather high frequency rate of these types of posts..... yes, you did take one short break recently - ONE - in between extended periods of stress filled posts.... generally after you made a trade that was going against you..... or when you didn't get sufficient or timely responses to your stress filled queries..... etc...... BTW, folks don't reply to each & every one of your stress filled posts. It seems that you get a reply or two only after several of your stress filled posts have surfaced. Feel free to check back on this fact. I do not believe that anyone else has come close to the frequency & pitch of these stress filled posts..... that would tend to have you receiving more replies too, don't you think? Please note that a good number of the replies you receive are courteous & were intended to help you deal with the obvious & extreme stress you were suffering by trading specific stocks. Is that really a bad thing? Your reaction seems to imply it is. Regardless, what right do you have insisting these folks be silenced when you demand no restrictions on the frequency or content of your posts? Another point here Keith.... folks do reply to others who have had stress filled posts...... the main difference is that frequently these folks did not insist that those who replied should shut up....... indeed, many carried on a discussion in response to the replies to they received..... Considering all of the above, I believe your thinking that you have been singled out is flawed..... One additional point to mull over...... sometimes harshness begets harshness in return too Keith. >>"No, I have not overestimated. I know how to read and I know how many posts I receive daily. Most are extremely to the point."<< I received a good number of replies & PM's regarding my ONE post to you last night too Keith. From my perspective, you are basing your claim on numerous posts..... considering the responses I received to my one post, it appears to me that you may not be speaking for the masses. Me thinks the silent majority is not solidly in your corner either..... but one can only speculate on that 'eh? Regardless of whether or not anyone agrees with you, the double standard you wish to impose on others represents seriously flawed thinking to me. I believe another example of flawed thinking is your belief that you are being singled out. Perhaps there are other areas you might have flawed thinking as well? Perhaps not, but that's why it's important to allow everyone to express their thoughts..... maybe something good can come from it.... or something important learned..... rather than have a one sided view repeatedly expressed to the exclusion of other points of view..... Keith, please feel free to post at your leisure. Could you please also agree that everyone else has the same freedom? Ö¿Ö
