Part of it came from selling my entire remaining RMBS position @ 57 7/8 to take profits while I still had them. Had I held, low of today only two points above my cost basis. These were shares remaining from a 2/15 purchase.

I think RMBS is the riskiest play out there; particularly short-term.

Don't know about you, but I see many, many other plays -- including shorts -- that involve considerably less risk.

But I'm not expecting to get rich overnight.

I think it's one thing to 'be a bull' ... and quite another to refuse to acknowledge that the market can and will go down periodically.

This "see no evil/hear no evil" perspective is very interesting to me.

The ability to short and hedge is vital to maximizing long-term net worth ... why is this so obvious to me and seemingly to few others?

Must be the types of boards I've 'hung out on' during my brief tenure on SI here <g>
