Rambus off on Intel concerns; chip
firm says no change

By Staff and wire reports

Shares of memory chip maker Rambus (Nasdaq:
RMBS) fell 18 percent on concerns that Intel Corp.
(Nadaq: INTC) was dropping support for its products.

But a spokesman for the chip giant said that there was
no change in its relationship with Rambus.

The company will continue to support the memory in
chip sets designed for its high-end Pentium III and
Pentium 4 processors, spokesman Howard High said.
