Bill, really, on this, i think its important to note that anyone who bought silver bullion in the last year and held would have lost a whole lot less than anyone who bought pfg and held...

silver bullion and such is a bit like real estate. one doesn't (can't) liquidate if one is up a few percent, whereas with stocks, many hope to sell within literally seconds of buying. the friction costs for the little guy to liquidate their silver is too high anyway. i once checked the quotes for silver at bank of scotia. the spread was 8 %. sounds to me that if a person owns silver bullion, they are not selling unless the return is larger.
