The man in question had been a detractor, and seemingly unfairly so, for some time. I don't remember his name but he writes for a NY paper. You can't defend absolutely what Bush said but he had been provoked by what he considered unfair and untrue reporting regarding him and his positions. Hopefully, Bush will be a little more careful with his choice of words in the future but, on the other hand, I don't blame him because from what I have heard his description was accurate.
