BTW- Intel is dropping Rambus, just reported on CNBC.

Just reported? BS ... That story came out at 8:40 this morning. The POS has recovered half the loss already.

That was one of the worst peices of reporting I've ever seen on tout TV.

It takes 18 months to develop a chipset. Intel is 6-9 months into it, but does anyone expect Intel to admit this when the project isn't even near done? Are they going to say they have nothing competitive with AMd on the high end for 12 months? Of course not.

The actions of the Dramurai and the lawsuits speak volumes about what decisions have already been made in the industry.

There's a time delay of 18 months and tout TV and the ANALysts seem to have trouble figuring this out.

This appears to be the reason for the bounce (in addition to Morgan this morning):

Intel's new Chip-set, code name - Almadore
will use PC-133 DRAM but will have Rambus video graphics engine.
Almadore is a 0.13 micron chip for the 1.3 Ghz Pentium III which
suggests the mid- to lower-end PC market
