Does Redskins' Defeat Mean a Bush Victory?
By Scott Hogenson
CNS Executive Editor
October 31, 2000

(CNSNews.com) - Those who believe that professional sports trends can
predict election outcomes have made their prediction: The next president of
the United States will be Texas Governor George W. Bush, according to
one tried-and-true sports indicator.

A statistic researched by ABC's Monday Night Football staff showed that
the fate of the Washington Redskins in their final home game before a
presidential election mirrors the fate of the incumbent party in the White
House and has a perfect 15-0 record in predicting the next president.

flapjack, even though we have a different view of what would make America great and be best for it's citizens I like you personally. You frustrate me at times because you seem to defend the indefensible. However, I think you are a good man and I certainly wish you and your family the very best. I also hope you are still around so I can tell you, "I told you the American people are too smart to elect a congenital liar plus all those other things that are undesirable that he does." Be more trustful though. I always liked what Ronald Reagan said, "Trust but verify." A good motto. Hopefully, you will find everything is exactly as it is supposed to be but you must empower and trust. Another reason Bush will excel. I hope we can have a reunion in 4 years. It will be good to see my friend, flapjack, now walking neighborhoods for the reelection of George W. Bush. Take care of yourself and best wishes to your family.

And I was warned about referring to PartyTime as PottyTime. So what? Follow the rules as they are shown to you and quit whining. JLA

I have no doubt that you are safe to post your valedictory address.

I do not know who has complained, although some on both sides were doing so. I am afraid, though, that once the thread has been deemed degenerate, the administration becomes "pro-active", in order to prevent things from getting out of hand. I find it hard to blame them, they have a reputation to maintain, and they are pretty sparing in the application of Terms of Use unless there have been a number of complaints. I can see why you are offended, but not everyone thought everything was in good fun, I am sure. I would hope you would ride out the election (not so long, really), rather than giving up. After all, who are we going to laugh at when Bush wins?

Flapjack,
I certainly hope that SI does not suspend you. I found many of your posts extremely funny and at the same time annoying. IMHO your posts did not stretch the limits of decorum. Somebody needs to stick up for the common working man.Good luck

I wouldn't waste my time turning you in. However, unlike Frank, I do not think you are a good man. It isn't because you are an ignorant moron. I don't hold it against people if they are of low intelligence or uninformed. You choose to make harmful statements about decent people, knowing that you are misrepresenting them or twisting the truth to fit your political purposes. You call it "all in good fun." Well, there is nothing good about it and I don't find anything funny about getting your kicks by defaming decent people. But mostly, I am sickened by your constant whining every time some one tags you for your adolescent behavior. The only thing you are good at is playing the victim role.
