No, as far as I know there is nothing inherently offensive in diminutives. I think you exaggerate how alone you have been, although it is true that if we eliminate the off- the- wall posters on the Democratic side, there are not too many left. As far as wanting you around goes, I want everyone around, with the possible exception of the three or four doofiest. I could have longed for more able opponents, but at least you have been worth some trouble. On the Truman scenario...as my bubba might say,"Could be, don't hold your breath.".......
