Brian,

Which data providers are you referring to? Our technology is very different from the rest of the market, and as such we have unique issues that may or may not be apparent on another provider utilizing Comstock. Other data providers could also be already moved over to Comstock's IP Feed, which would not show a similar Lvl II problem.

As far as switching the back-up to the higher feed, we are just awaiting Comstock's release of their new 384k satellite feed. They anticipate the release to be within the next 60 days, and at that point the upgrade on our end is relatively quick (1-2 weeks.)

Hi Brian,

We have a direct connection with Comstock via telco land lines. There are a few points along the path that could cause a breakdown, and unfortunately I do not know the exact nature of the problem affecting the new feed, however my best guess would be hardware-related.

I don't know who uses what, as far as other companies with Comstock are concerned and how the data is delivered to them, but since we are not on a satellite hookup I would not expect a universal experience for all Comstock users if the problem is with their line to us. I am not an expert in network architecture (which is probably painfully apparent <g>), but I am trying to get more details and will share them as I do.
