Dave, Well, there may be one exception. Monterey was the West Coast version of The Defense Language Institute. There was also a branch located at Syracuse University, which I think is a football and basketball team in New York that has some academic connections somewhere. <g>

War and Peace was one of my all time favorites. Of course, I'm not sure if it was because of the great story and the writing or if it was because I'm such a cheapskate that I love getting a fat book for the same price as a skinny one. <VBG>

Yeah, they're damned fussy about those lit profs being able to read the language. Messed me up with my Kama Sutra emphasis in college, too. <G>
