Hmm, PMI DOWN, but housing starts way UP...so the economy is slowing even as Americans are taking on even more debt (the better to buy into that sensibly priced U.S. housing bubble).

Sounds like someone is approaching the credit-addicted U.S. consumer from behind, brandishing an oosik!<GG>
