If this technology really did work (ie. they are able to read/write up to 140 GB on a single multi-layer disc using slight modifications to existing laser systems), does this mean that the threshold could be raised to 560 Gigabytes on a single disc using a blue laser ????? Between that and CREEs market gyrations, I could develop quite a nosebleed.

Bob, I think you should immediately tilt your head back because the article will propel you to even greater heights:

By adding layers and taking advantage of blue laser technology, second and third generation cards and discs will have capacities up to and exceeding 1 Terabyte (1,000 Gigabytes). In addition Read/Write versions of disc and card are planned.

Do you have cotton balls?
