Now that was funny. Just for the hell of it I'm gonna save your post and Ben's response (which I assume will be coming soon) and check back to all of us mid-2001. Such a thing is rarely done around here...I mean, holding ourselves accountable for our projections.

Not picking on you since I found your post rather interesting in the twisted world of black humor.

To November.

listen to Eric - if we like royalties and asic receipts from 12M CDMA phones a quarter, how about adding in 50M WCDMA phones a quarter by mid 2002? Remember what IJ said in his letter to Business Week published here months ago - Q is working on WCDMA chips and is interested in pushing out that technology as well. I hope its not vaporware, but Q needs to realize on IJ's promise to get its WCDMA chips out. With very serious cash flows in, Q could be part of a partnership taking over or buying from bankruptcy a depressed G*. G* should be viable, but years ago I owned Mot because I thought Iridium would be fabulous - so, what do I know? Best, John

<" and even fully developed chips that are sampling as of this very moment">

Who is sampling what and where can I get the specs?

An occasional pipe-dream isn't always such a bad thing.

Eric,

After NTT's dismal confession, it appears that it is you holding the pipe. Though your dream may be of the wet variety, and it may not be a pipe in your hand...
