I know this isn't "news" but I'm sure I saw something yesterday involving CSFB in a 1 billion dollar financing related to AT&T. I'm also so pissed at M/L who never got on the Q bandwagon in 1999 yet Nok and Ericy have been on their "focus one" list seemingly forever. Regrettably I'm still a M/L client for certain other reasons. IMO the only "big name house" who really can influence Q upward and who has been supportive is SSB with Alex Cena. I thought Goldman may initiate coverage (if they aren't already) and say some positives since they will be one of the two underwriters for SPINCO, i.e., play the analysts "quid pro quo" game. Some of the comments we get from the second tier analysts can bring the stock price down but don't seem to have the clout to achieve upward movement of any great degree.
