Hi Jdaasoc; Re Samsung signing with Rambus...

I also believe that this happened weeks ago, and Rambus has been keeping the news quiet so they could release it at an opportune time. I believe that they also did this with the other signing news. As far as what an "opportune" time means, I would say that they release news in order to protect or advance the stock price.

They released news on the previous signings just after the split, a time when stocks frequently decline. And this news was released just after a collapse in the stock price.

But the funny thing is that RMBS is hardly up today on the news. It is trading well below where it was a week ago. I have to guess that the street already knew the news.
