You and I and most of the others on this board are in basic agreement on the need for tax reform, but I just don't see any evidence that GWB would do anything but maintain the status quo, because "what's good for GM is good for America." If there is meaningful campaign finance reform, then there might be a chance for meaningful tax reform. But the odds of that happening are probably 1 in 100. Besides, once Bush stacks the Supreme Court with more Scalias and Thomases, the high court will strike down any meaningful campaign finance reform as "unconstitutional."

I see the glass as half empty if Bush gets elected; you see it as half full. I think Nader is right on the money when he says Bush is a corporation masquerading as a presidential candidate.
