I think most are real. You must not be dealing with front line service people much. Given this tight job market there are some real gems out there. The other day I was trying to get an alternator belt for my porsche and was asking this dork how long the belts he had were. I had the metric length and of course could convert to inches. He said he only had inch belts and you couldn't convert lengths between the two; like they were somehow from different time space continuums. It was pretty funny and he got sort of pissed off as I was rolling around on the floor laughing. -g-
