Yes Lawdog, that's why Nader is quite correct to point out that the distinctions between both candidates is meaningless:

1) They are both gilding the same (contributor) lilies.

2) They both rode the coattails of distinguished public servants: their Dads.

3) One demonstrates the spontaneity of Lurch and mouths meaningless liberalisms. The other is as likeable as Wally Cleaver, but gets outshone by June, who would be up 20 pts if she were running.

4) The media's equally inept, pouncing on Gore for being a know-it-all (yes, we prefer our Presidents a little dumber please) and suggesting that Bush won staged & scripted non-debates that only the most rabid partisans watched, because he didn't trip over his tongue (Ike and LBJ must be spinning like tornadoes in their graves).

5) Extra points to Dubya for kicking the kickapoo juice. Extra points to Bore for remembering the correct woman to suck face with.

6) They'd both gladly pick up the soap in the shower they share with Earl Derrick & his Seven Sisters. (I guess it's Six now, with Cissie Chevron & Tessie Texaco wed).

7) Leadership? Hah! Whatever my own proclivities are, I sure respected the leadership abilities of Ike, AuH2O, LBJ, JFK, Reagan, but these two boys couldn't whip cream in a blender.

Now I'm guessing I stumbled onto a highly partisan thread of well-meaning folks who have a deep reverence for their political convictions. I've been there, done that more than a few times.

But I'm at a point when I recognize my country's greatness by its tens of millions of contributing citizens and am quite confident its strength will outlast the bumbling efforts of most fools who sit in the Oval Office, as it has proven with our past assortment of the many petty, lecherous, paranoid and hateful occupants.... and the very few who demonstrated competence and brilliance.

In my opinion, this ranks as the most meaningless and boring Presidential campaigns I've ever experienced. Browne, the Libertarian, Nader, the semi-Green, and Buchanan of the White Party.... they offer three actual colors against the drab gray of Gush & Bore.

None of the five demonstrates enough truly Presidential qualities to pull me out of the easy chair towards a voting booth, but many other races provide that spark.

I wish we had the option of voting "None of the Above", with the stipulation that if "None" wins, the Parties have to come back with better choices for a second election date 60 days later. But we don't.

And the moral distinctions posed by enthusiastic partisans reflect good & fine qualities.... in those that feel them in their souls. But I don't think these two major party candidates possess anything more than the desire to be elected; all the rest will be sold-out to the highest bidder.

John McCain vs. Bob Kerry would be fun. This one ain't.

<It is interesting to note that both Gore and Bush receive large contributions from many of the same business. Ernst and Young pops out as one glaring example as does Goldman Sachs. Here's the list of the top contributors for each. Have a look:>

That is not at all surprising. Corporations are simply hedging their bets and have been doing so for years. If Flapjack did some research he would probably find that receipts from business to both parties are almost equal. Most business would rather give to none of them. However given all the anti business legislation that pours from Washington it has become a survival tactic of choice. They are simply seeking some consideration from egregious laws regardless of who wins the throne. Sad commentary.
