Point well taken. I always leave myself enough room to survive even my worst nightmares.

However, all the stocks I'm shorting now are technically broken. That is a big factor. The peak in March will stand for many, many years. Once the positive feedback in the economy has engaged solidly to the downside, the magnitude of the problem will become more obvious.

Technical failures are much better shorts than stocks hitting new highs. Learned that one a long time ago.
