Valuations have kept me from brcd, pmcs, jnpr and brcm. Uncertain market acceptance has kept me from TERN. I bought JDSU last Thursday (as well as GLW) in the low 60's. I sold my AVNX over 100 and was hoping for another trip to the 80's...I may have missed my chance and will have to reassess my price. RBAK and CORV are companies that I will buy when this perceived cap-ex spending scare has passed. SCMR should be there at present levels as well as it compares very favorably in valuation at this point (very expensive but cheal compared to those 2). WFII is very volatile. Each time that I have traded it earlier this year, I bought in the mid to high 40's. 50 is close enough for government work. Thanks for pointing it out since I had not noticed the recent decline. ADCT is downright cheap and should have been bought last week under 17 (as well as TLAB under 40). I was on vacation so I only took the time to watch JDSU, GLW, AVNX, MRVC, AMCC and NT. Even in the low 20's, ADCT is only trading at 30X next year's earnings estimates. followed but never earned STOR and TXCC. TXCC had great numbers but I was not buying at the time. A nibble at this level is probably not a bad bet. Since the talk that the Storage companies might be the last ones to get washed out, I am going to watch STOR from a distance for now. One volatile stock that I trade frequently and should be owned if you believe that the valuations are going to return to the optical sector is MRVC. It has 2 IPO's filed for offering now with at least one more potentially for the first quarter of 2001. Earnings are today, so I lightened up yesterday.. tp
