>would you not agree that as the USPIII works its way UP THE LADDER

what a dog.

in an overcrowded RISC market ( that is due for a shake out in the light of IA64) this will be the first VICTIM.

JDN - well, I certainly can't argue with the performance of my SUNW investment last year, and I am rather unhappy with my INTC investment this year. I don't know when INTC the stock will recover. But I don't expect SUNW to move up much from here.

I don't think that USPIII will allow SUNW to make any big "move up" - it is essentially a refresh of their current technology, which is a little long in the tooth. It will enable SUNW to maintain their current base but may not be enough to keep their growth on track.

USPIII does not address the infrastructure issues SUNW faces in managing even their current high end business. It's just a faster (and hopefully more reliable) hardware base.

JDN, well, at least you can't say I'm the only one that thinks Sun does not walk on the water.
