WASHINGTON -- A group of mostly Tennessee-based business owners has contributed more than $226,000 to defeat Democrat
presidential nominee Al Gore in his home state.

Nearly half of the funding for the group, the Tennessee Forum, came from the Chattanooga area, according to an Oct. 20
disclosure form filed with the Internal Revenue Service.

The Tennessee Forum was created in June by three self-described "soccer dads'' from Middle Tennessee.
