Gee, what a coincidence (wink). Market goes way up yesterday, then downgrades come in. If I didn't know better, I'd think that some analysts are trying to time downgrades (and upgrades) to create volatility, so clients of their bosses firm make money on both long and short positions.

If the market goes up, and then the downgrades come in, it sure makes it easier to profit from shorting, doesn't it?

That's why you can't get too greedy in this market and you almost can't hold overnight.
