GV,

Well, of course the counter to these arguments is that many CLEC's are succeeding and are building out. ILEC's and IXC's are continuing to build out to deliver new services. Brick and mortar companies are building out ecommerce IT... and more importantly b2b IT. ANd, enterprises which are outsourcing IT are fueling demand for ASP's and hosting sites like EXDS.

Then, of course, we have COMPLETELY ignored international markets. Funny how we do that in the US. Build out in a variety of markets continues to be strong but is more volatile.

I suspect that the propects are not as rosy as the bulls see and not as gloomy as the bears see it.

RE CSCO's PE.. CSCO was not the gorilla in 97 it is perceived to be now. This of course doesn't justify it's high PE... only execution can do that.. and demonstrable growth. With earnings next week we should be a better picture.

OG

Oh well, I guess I'll just have to keep focusing on your spring EMC call...
