Sad, a medal of honor hero should know better than anyone not to besmirch the honor of a comrade in arms for crass political reasons.

To balance yours with the other view, perhaps you'd like to consult with a few Bush supporters, such as: General Colin Powell, former chairman of the Joint Chiefs; General Norman Schwartzkopf, twice wounded in Vietnam and commander of the Persian Gulf War, Richard Cheney, former Secretary of Defense and Bush's running mate; and Senator John McCain, Vietnam vet, former POW for five years, and former Bush adversary-turned supporter. I wonder why all these decorated Vietnam vets so adamantly favor Bush and oppose Gore, who wants us to believe Gore is one of them? Could it be that Gore is not one of them?

You might also consider that over 90% of military personnel are reported to favor Bush.

But what does any of this matter, in light of the Boston Globe hatchet job, yours and Lawdog's never-ending expressions of contempt for Bush, and that of an angry band of partisan Democrats?
