That's pretty funny. I know people go batty over the weirdest numbers, but this takes the cake. I'll submit a simple query: Would you rather have 21% click thru on a site that gets 1 million visitors, or a 2% click thru rate on a site that gets 100 million visitors? Studies show that as pageviews rise, typically click thru falls. There are some incidences that don't follow directly, but most do. Is Alta Vista's performance simply a function of smaller viewership? I'd be willing to bet on it.
