If you "get it" it will only be in theory. A flat tax would last about 5 seconds. Hardly a victory for the taxpayer.

In 1986 major tax reform was undertaken. The end result was a code more complex than ever. There are too many vested interests in deductions and the like to ever have real reform.

As long as you think I am wrong, I know I am right.
