I like the Nature Conservancy very much, too. Do you know that if you shop at, for example, Amazon.com by going through this site, you can have up to 15% of your purchase price be donated to the Nature Conservancy? greatergood.com That's only one of many charities you can choose, and it is the one I specified. There are a lot of merchants participating but I've only bought from Amazon.com. I don't feel very optimistic about a "nice" solution to the environmental situation. I suspect those with the ability to do so will insulate themselves and their children from bad effects as best they can for as long as they are better off doing that than they would be giving something up for the sake of a larger solution. That's usually the way it works.
