iagree... that's what i thought would spark the crash.. stocks like GE are set up very similar to KO in aug of 98 which was heavily owned in Japan

yep...it may actually have completed a five wave decline in the long term time frame and be ready for a huge counter trend move.
the Euro carry trade may well blow up in similar fashion as the yen carry trade did in '98...and hopefully it'll take the gold carry trade with it...


Can you explain how the carry trade works? Who's doing it? What kind of numbers are involved? How much of an impact will this money be in the overall picture when the trades unwind? Are they short trades requiring a cover, or options trades that will expire at some point worthless unless the carry trade blows up?
