Merrill previews QCOM's Q4
--2:23 pm - By Tomi Kilgore
Merrill Lynch analyst Michael Ching previewed Qualcomm's (QCOM: news, msgs) fiscal fourth quarter, which is slated to be revealed after the close of Thursday's regular trading session. Chings thinks the company will report EPS of 24 cents a share, in line with the consensus analyst estimate compiled by First Call. He expects revenue to be down 6 percent from last year's fourth quarter to $675 million. Separately, Ching sees no firm evidence of a reinstatement of handset subsidies in Korea or a commitment in China to build out a CDMA network, issues that have been a focus of investors of late. Qualcomm is changing hands at $62.44, down $2.67 from Tuesday's close and off 17 percent for the week.
