I think it’s over. Despite the threatened Clinton vetoes and the successive daily emergency fundings of Government operations, Democrats have now assured Republicans that Clinton will approve a 2-week funding of the Government, so that Congress can adjourn before the election.

I wonder if they got wind of Rush's idea for Dubya to speak out on the issue and say something like...

"Hey, Bill! America's electing a new President in a week. Why don't you just keep the government running until either the Vice-President or I take over."

"And I hope the American people realize that I will unite the Congress, not divide them as the current Administration has."
