I love to see science really get its act together and do something useful and interesting.
I suppose if I had gotten my hands on some liquid O2 I might have come up with that idea. Might have leveled a couple of city blocks too. Just knowing that one charcoal briquette and O2 mixed was equal to a stick of dynamite would have been knowledge I would have found profoundly interesting in my younger days. As it was the things I did with elemental sodium, gun cotton, and mercury fulminate on differing occasions were probably all the local enviornment could tolerate. I would get into more detail but I am not sure the statute of limitations have run out.
