<Are you suggesting that Dell has been trying to buy Athlons all along and Jerry won't sell them to him?>

Dan,

No not really, I'm not suggesting that AMD is flat out refusing to sell, or that there aren't multi-faceted reasons behind Dells lack of an AMD product offering, nor am I claiming to understand the whole situation, I am suggesting though that hard feelings are playing a role in it, that Jerry may be a lot less eager to accomodate Dell than he could be and that there is a whole lot more to it than Dell just rolling over for special priviliges from Intel.

Regards,

Epinephrine

PS: My memory may be fuzzy here but last time there was a Dell rumor didn't it end with something like Dell not going through with selling the rumored Durons that they allegedly had planned because AMD was uncomfortable with such and such of a volume commitment? I'm not trying to lend credibility to that rumor, I have no information on it and am making no comment whatsoever as to it's validity but as a matter of curiosity it is interesting to note that AMD was allegedly the one that killed the deal.
