NBC News said tonight the Cole can be fixed, I think they said over $100 million. It's hard to believe that the United States Navy can't travel through the Suez Canal for fear of terrorism. Doesn't the Suez traverse somewhat friendlier waters than Yemen? Where else can't we show the U.S. flag?

And that's scary that a billion dollar ship can be taken out with 80 pounds of shape charge...

And I understand that the Cole and other ships in its class are more solidly built then most modern warships. With the fire power and lack of armour on modern ships they are like egg shells armed with hammers.
