Using a conversion rate of $1.5 to the Stirling pound
and a price of 70p per liter, I make it $3:97 per US
gallon.

Whats everyone complaining about?

I only drive about 50 miles a week so I'm not:)

Mind you, fuel costs get into everything that is delivered AND you have the pleasure of paying 17.5% VAT on top of any increases.

I wonder what the frigging government does with all the revenue?? Give it to overseas dictatorships to buy luxury cars and Spanish fishermen to build more modern vessels to put the UK guys out of business from reading the papers here (the overfishing here is BAD). I won't mention the UK millenium DOME.

I vote for less government... much less government.

It's Nov 5th here soon. Firework night. To remember Guy Fawks. He thought there was too much government in the UK as well, and came up with a drastic solution. -g- I believe it was around that period they started up the fiat money system here.

rgds and good night,

pearly.
