Today, I read on the Yahoo news thread that Intel's CEO has reiterated his position about his company's earnings and that has helped stabilize the tech sector.

Ibexx, I think these stocks have been manipulated by the brokerage houses and that is why we have had so much trouble in the NASDAQ sector. For instance, one day they will upgrade the semis, the next day they will downgrade them.

Why should an analyst be allowed to put a target price on a stock? And I wonder why people listen to the analysts since the analysts contradict themselves every day.

If the SEC won't put a stop to this nonsense, then the CEOs must speak out often about the future of their earnings.
