Occasionally these "paid basher" confessions pop up. Until I find some place where I can apply for such a job I am unlikely to believe in them. I suppose I do believe that paid hypsters exist, so I guess it isn't impossible that the reverse is true. Certainly it seems likely that most posters have an investment position that is compatible with their posts (i.e. they post favorable comments when they are long, unfavorable ones when they are short), so I suppose in some way we all have a vested interest in others being influenced by our posts.
