SB, what you're saying sounds very reasonable to me ... steal from the rich, give to the poor ... the math just isn't there for much else.

Sb i have 4 children and 5 grandchildren so i am concerned about SS future. I believe that the US govt will honor it`s commitment to US citizens,my children as well as you and your family. I hope i am not naive on this situation!
>>>i understand why you like ss. you have benefited tremendously according to your account.<<
SB i again ask you if your family, parents, grandparents have benefitted from SS?
My family is not unique from a SS point of view!
Ok the car:) i just gave my 1985 toyota cressida station wagon(260,000 miles, runs like a charm) to my son in law after making a killing in MB picks, the wife demanded a new car,so i ended up with her old 1997 toyota avalon sedan. Hate it,i am looking at the new toyota station wagon that will be introdouced jan or feb2001! >>i think a small safety net is righteous<<me too, we are all going to the same place,so a little kindness here would help us all! regards john
