COMPAQ COMPUTER CORP - GameCom Strategic Alliance With Compaq

Toronto, Ontario, Nov. 01, 2000 (Market News Publishing via COMTEX) --
GameCom, Inc. announced that it is in advanced negotiations with Compaq Computer
Corporation, pursuant to which the two companies will work together as strategic
partners to develop a PC-based kiosk unit for the coin-operated gaming industry.

In late 1996, Compaq, along with Intel and Microsoft, started an initiative to
transform the seven billion dollar domestic arcade industry over to PC-based
solutions. Under the anticipated agreement, Compaq will manufacture and service
GameCom's proprietary custom-designed computer housing units (Princess CHUs) for
its 'Net GameLink(TM) entertainment system.

"We are very excited to have GameCom's 'Net GameLink(TM) as a key strategic
partner," said Jim Newton, director, Enterprise Program Management for Compaq.
"We firmly believe that the 'Net GameLink(TM) kiosk concept has the potential to
revolutionize the kiosk industry and provide tremendous rewards for all parties
involved."

L. Kelly Jones, GameCom's chief executive officer, stated "Compaq is an early
leader in transforming the arcade industry to PC-based platforms. Compaq's
manufacture of our proprietary computer housing units (CHUs) will enable GameCom
to provide an unparalleled quality of service to the multi-level tiers of our
customer base, both in terms of timeliness and significantly-reduced costs."

"As a strategic partner of this venture, Compaq will provide technical support,
development support, and technical 'evangelism' for GameCom's 'Net GameLink(TM)
kiosk. We are excited with our partnership with 'Net GameLink(TM), and expect
this initiative to be a win situation for both parties," Newton added.

"We are excited that Compaq shares GameCom's vision of utilizing PC-based
platforms as the future of the arcade industry," stated Steven Haag, GameCom's
vice-president of operations. "Additionally, due to Compaq's prior relationship
with GameCom's first strategic partner, Advance Micro Devices (NYSE:AMD), we
will continue to be able to feature AMD's Athlon processors, with performance
enhancing cache," Haag concluded.

GameCom, Inc., www.GameComInc.com, designs, manufactures, and markets 'Net
GameLink(TM), an interactive Internet gaming concept utilizing network-enabled
gaming kiosks. Patents are pending for the 'Net GameLink(TM) kiosks and
technology. GameCom is a fully reporting, publicly-traded corporation based in
Arlington, Texas.
