COMPAQ COMPUTER CORP - GameCom Strategic Alliance With Compaq Toronto, Ontario, Nov. 01, 2000 (Market News Publishing via COMTEX) -- GameCom, Inc. announced that it is in advanced negotiations with Compaq Computer Corporation, pursuant to which the two companies will work together as strategic partners to develop a PC-based kiosk unit for the coin-operated gaming industry. In late 1996, Compaq, along with Intel and Microsoft, started an initiative to transform the seven billion dollar domestic arcade industry over to PC-based solutions.
