On this one I agree. The lowest point in recent history of Jerry's public speaking was the quote that Andreas posted. Jerry should be more polite and more "humble" (quoting W here) "talk softly but carry a big stick" (Teddy Rooseveld).

No matter what he thinks of the analyst asking the question, it takes more of a man to stay cool than to explode with a tirade.

Joe,

First of all the guy was not an analyst but a fund manager of a small fund. Secondly, I have never seen this fund as one of those that ever held AMD stock. Thirdly, his question is so obnoxious as to be intentionally insulting. Fourthly, I believe he is the same guy who asked some pretty obnoxious questions during the Q1 CC.

This is not to say that Sanders should be rude...on the contrary. However, the only thing I see as rude is the reference to "this guy" in Sanders's comment to Rob Herb, and given Sanders's reputation, the guy is lucky to have gotten off so lightly.

And for all of Sanders's courseness and the alleged dislike by the wall street community, I did not see any of the funds, analysts or institutions refrain from jumping onto the AMD bandwagon when it was running up to $97 this past Spring.
