Did you "moo" the cows again today?! :) I ALWAYS "moo" at the cows. They expect it. When I ride down the hill at Mach 3 they don't get scared because they know it's Mr. Moo. Solon, you are a just a probe in space. You think you are special but you are just in the vessel of creation. Don't swell your head because WE ALL ARE!! Your job is to carry forward the genome AND the social and intellectual memes. You are nothing more (or less) than an information conduit connected to the nexus of communication that spans portions of this solar system (and time, for that matter). "Life" has different liquid crystalline phases. Homo sapiens is one. Drosophila melanogaster is another. My car might be one, aided in its existance by a symbiont (me and those who made it). We are complex forms of the DNA family of informational transmitting forms that call themselves (and others like themselves) "life". There are probably other ones and our class may be creating ( or at least producing the environment for) them now with the internet.
