Re: "I think Intel management made a mistake here. Intel is behind AMD on 0.13 micron/Copper - and AMD doesn't yet have the 0.13 micron/Copper process ready - ergo, Intel CANNOT HAVE 0.13 micron Tualatin devices."

Well if you listen to the AMDroids Intel is well behind.

I have been hearing rumors about Tualatin but I am reluctant to comment before something is said publicly. I did hear that Intel had Tualatin silicon and things are going well. I guess I can say that now that Paul Otellini said it.

Man that was fast. Tualatin is ready for production on copper? AMD hasn't even thought about .13u yet?

My recollection is it was about a year between first k6-2 test runs on copper/.18 at Dresden and the appearance of production copper/.18 chips from AMD. Does that sound about right to you?
