Maybe you would consider a change, maybe not. When you proactively "forgive" people, I find that very offensive. Not that I'm offended by you, but by that act, which in my mind is wholly insincere and downright arrogant.>> I understand. But try to look at it this way. I can't forgive others unless I have first forgiven myself. Forgiving others is really an act of forgiving oneself. This gets back to this "letting go" stuff. Scott and I have been circling this Stewart Nelson issue for some time. He's made a point which I believe gets back to his core act of forgiving himself so he could forgive Novell and all the things he has had an issue with in the past inside Novell. I don't want to take words out of Scott's mouth on this, but I think - again only conjecture on my part - this was part of process of forgiveness that was at the core his act of re-engaging with Novell. If you want to tar me for forgiving Scott then what you are really saying is that I am not being sincere - ie. it's all just more "Fred this, Fred that" as Scott would perhaps label it. And, true to Scott's tone against me, then the only conclusion you can come up with is that I'm simply "downright arrogant" to even write or think like this. I understand what you are saying. But, again, I will repeat that this act begins and ends with me, Frederick Smart. I FOR-GIVE myself. Period. For what? For anything, anywhere and at anytime that separates me from the complete energy, light and love that's within us all that supports us all. And here's the catch. Scott Lemon's energy, light and love is right there within me/you/everyone. Your energy, light and love is right there within me/you/everyone. How can this be? For just ONE reason. There is only ONE energy source which supports all of us. And in forgiving myself and Scott I am simply affirming that I am "less than" and in "service to" Scott and his true - REAL - energy can be "less than" and in "service to" me. But I won't let Scott be "less than" me. And he may argue all he wants that this goes against all the grains I have ever shared on this board. Nope, I remain "less than" Scott. I'm that guy in the bottom of the deep, dark well. That's where he's put me. I accept and forgive this. And I accept and forgive any/all comments that somehow placed him in the bottom of the same deep/dark well. I'll occupy this well for I want to help and serve Scott. >>You may want to be sure you totally understand the ramification of your statements is all I'm saying.>> Yes, I do. >>Also, to stand up for Scott: aside from the few other outright employee posters and the stealth employee posters, Scott is being put in the position of official apologist for the company. Give him a break.>> I have. He's in an incredibly sensitive and difficult position. I'm not sure if he's totally aware of the many forces that are labeling, questioning and doubting him for what he's doing and how he's doing it. For he has been a direct defensive force on the facade of this thing since last May. >>I don't know Scott personally, we never got a chance to meet before I left, but I know what that feels like.>> I think Scott would take offense at anyone's attempt to try to get inside his brain and comment like this. Scott is Scott just like Fred is Fred. I just know that my many attempts to frame a dialogue around him personally have been met with some of most caustic sarcasm and bitterness that I can only say "let go" to this personal stuff as it relates to Scott. Please note that I did not bring Scott Lemon into this dialogue about Stewart's $.10 options. But also note that Stewart's $.10 options have actually become even more famous because of Scott's efforts to defend and explain HIS personal position vis a vis Stewart. Did Stewart ask Scott to step up to this plate? Perhaps Scott was already so deep into his personal apologies to Stewart et. al. and Novell that this flip flop was just a given. Just "don't question", keep your nose to the grindstone and "move on" seems to be the prevailing mantra inside Novell. But even as I understand this I, too, forgive this. I'm not better than or greater than Scott or anyone else. And in writing as I do I am simply sharing the energy that comes from this perspective. >>I can assure you that Scott is working at the very highest levels of Novell's technology in an impactful way. He needs no fervent exhortations to let the energy flow to motivate him. He doesn't even reveal 1% of what he could because no one lets him. Every statement he makes is immediately met with criticism. Realize that Scott is probably (I say this from his reputation, not from my experiences with him) the smartest poster on this thread.>> Yep. I understand. Scott is working damn hard and having a blast!! I "get it." And perhaps he believes all of this will get us back to a central point which will resolve everything regarding anything that's been holding Novell and this community back. If Scott and others are NOT allowed to express more than 1% of their personal, creative energy then they must be working damn hard to overcome a massive, massive wall of fear, doubt and oppression. Scott pershaps is inside - yet outside - in this regard. >>You will get more out of Scott by allowing him to be a visionary-in-residence at Novell than by forcing him to be an apologist.>> A real visionary wouldn't blink over little things like $.10 options. Others inside and outside the greater Novell community need to know ONE thing about Scott Lemon, me or anyone for that matter who are labeled visionaries. What others think really doesn't matter. For if I let what others think impact, refract, define or limit how my internal energy and light is freely shared, then my light and energy simply gets stolen and sold into some other combine. I believe in Scott 10,000%. He's incredibly talented, intuitive and aware. He may not touch that $.10 third rail with a 50,000 foot pole, but I believe this truth is already so far out of the bag that it doesn't really matter anymore. >>I have no intention of representing Scott's opinion here or putting words in his mouth.>> The same goes for me. But I may be accused of throwing his name around. Until this inflection point is over with, anything that smacks of Frederick and Scott being one the same wavelength is going to be met with internal criticism inside Novell. I believe we are close to being past this point. For I believe Scott and I really do have more of the same ultimate goals and purposes that can fill a massively expanding vision going forward for the who/what/when/where/how and why behind technology going forward. At this point I agree to disagree. And from his point what I say and he says really doesn't matter anyway so "what's the big deal." All this will come back to ENERGY and TRUTH. We will all end up in the same river - with different boats perhaps - but the same current carries and supports us. Thanks for sharing Kilo. Peace. GO!!
