Not one media company is making money today in streaming because the technology didn't exist to make such profitable -- it takes a lot of bandwidth to stream and collecting advertising revs and ecommerce dollars associated with streaming just doesn't make sense yet. however, recent acquisitions by INKT & CFLO are going to enable the economics of a streaming model... its not late to be getting into streaming. until this year, there were few dollars to be had so its silly to call it 'late'... the caching market is just taking off and streaming is going to be a catalyst for the caching market. Caching is all CFLO does so they know better than anybody what features it takes to sell caching appliances. >>Anyone seriously considering a caching solution is not going to go for CFLO for some time now. Well, we will see. Tell that to the sales reps at CFLO which are destroying their quotas and feeling good with streaming coming down the pike next.
