It is time to do a technical analysis on SEMI. Fundamentals are sound; and year end semiconductor activities are known as far as how to expect the book to bill ratio.

I like to analyze the shorts by market makers first, which is kept at a minimum. Real time offers have drastic changes in lot sizes being offered from one trade to another.

On SI 6 month chart, net volume of red and blue volume chart gives the best indication of trend. Market makers seemed to have prior knowledge of big impending trades. Quote offers do lead the event, when trend reverses. Daytraders may take advantage of the present market makers' strategy. What may be more obvious is that market makers themselves have a position in this stock. If so, then the support level is the market makers' evaluation of the value in SEMI. And that is not the traders' sentiments.

The liquidity in this stock market is thin, so the gyration is obvious. Most stock has liquidity in the shorts volume. Cash pool is currently in a few institutional trades.

Good luck on this investment. Gyration is expected to continue, but support level is in the stockholders' favour.
