Just got my natural gas bill covering the period 9/26 through 10/27 (I live in Grand Rapids, MI) and it showed my usage down 40% from comparable period last year! No wonder storage is growing faster than last year. I wonder how much of the build is weather related and how much has to do with increased production? Maybe we need some cold weather to find out. Last year we added 6BCF to storage in the 4 weeks of November. Looks like we'll be adding a significan amount this week as temperature in the Mid-West remain far above normal.

NG Curve Quite a big difference between this years low (3/31) point and 1996's though. Appears that supply is improving over the last few weeks though. I wonder how much supply was created by decreasing demand from >$5 mbtu gas.

Awhile back it was suggested that alot of the present NG supply was from workovers and other short term fixes. The big question is how much short term supply has been created to capture $5 mbtu gas vs long term new production.

This quarter's earning releases dont seem to indicate significant new supply, yet. In any event demand is the question this Winter.
