I didn't say W shouldn't be elected. I was trying to make a point that politicians lie, both Democrats and Republicans. Bush Sr. lied. People who think otherwise are blinded by their biases, IMO. Clinton lied. Gore has lied. And I'm sure W has lied, also. I would argue that there were larger forces at work which helped to end the Cold War than simply Reagan. Do you believe Clinton was entirely responsible for the peace in Ireland or the overthrow of Milosevic in Serbia? You are eager to give Reagan credit for everything positive which happened under his watch, yet you will not do the same for Clinton (I am not a Clinton supporter; I voted against him both times). Of course, you probably hold Clinton responsible for everything bad that happened under his administration. That doesn't seem entirely fair. Ali
