If that was true, IMO, then get ready to dump your shares. This will bring even more debt than AMD already has. I doubt that the story is real though. Who knows...

THis is my wish list for the stock offer that AMD recently filed:

Microsoft invests in AMD, acquires x% stake by purchasing shares for $1 billion. AMD announces building a new fab, with groundbreaking in Q1 2001. New fab will come online in Q4 2002.

If AMD waits a while Transmeta may be a lot cheaper...
