Xilinx Sees 12% Sequential Revenue Growth in Third Quarter By TSC Staff 11/1/00 7:21 PM ET Xilinx (XLNX:Nasdaq - news) said it remains on track for at least 12% sequential revenue growth for the third quarter, as growth is being driven by the continuing strength of new products, particularly Virtex and Spartan II. For the second quarter, the designer of programmable logic products reported revenue of $437.4 million. In a posting on the company's Web site, Xilinx said resales for October were up sequentially across all geographic lines. October resales rose in the double digits compared with the month of July, which was a strong month. The company said several major communication original equipment manufacturers are going into production with Virtex, and as a result, the company is seeing "good strength" from this sector.
